the best fudge sauce in the world...

one of the best gifts i was given this Christmas was the recipe for this sauce (thanks Lady!) and now i'm passing it on to you, you'll love me for it i promise!


 i'm not too clear on where it comes from, i was just too excited to finally have my grubby little mitts on it to listen properly... it is definitely part of a cake recipe... i think i remember the first time my mum made it... but then this sauce seemed to be a staple of my childhood treats, around since the dawn of time... mum might actually be the genius behind the recipe, both cake and sauce... so yeah, still not clear...


it's oooey gooey, smooth and silky, turns ice cream in to a sundae, sponge in to a fudge cake and late night fridge raids in to a midnight feast...

top 3 ways to indulge... a banana split - banana, vanilla ice cream, fudge sauce; Polish apple cake - Madeira cake, poached apples on the top, fudge sauce running between the apples and down the sides; leftovers - with a spoon straight from the fridge!

you'll almost certainly have the ingredients in your fridge/pantry and it's super easy to make, you just need to remember 1, 2, 3, 4...


so here we go, don't blink or you might miss the recipe, it's that quick and easy...

1 egg
2 tbsps of cocoa
3oz of butter
4oz of sugar

melt the butter in pan over a gentle heat, add the sugar, cocoa and egg and whisk until smooth and glossy

enjoy!
